Since we’ve started our way together with VIVAFIT we’ve watch the development regarding Support and Training to Franchisees.
We carefully observed these elements, as it contributed a lot in our decision.
All training for those who do not get tiered of receiving it always thinks it’s not enough.
In VIVAFIT is obvious caring about, the follow-up and operationally. After the initial training there is a continuous support to keep contents updated.
Our first center, VIVAFIT Algés, the operational break-even was achieved after 6 months and the turn-around after 18 months. The income of the first center and of all who followed it were reinvested in new centers, mainly because we highly believe in this concept and its add values.
VIVAFIT easily distinguish from similar concepts, because was one of the first answering to the Portuguese reality.
Also was the first 30 minutes fitness concept together with Pilates. Fitness focus is essential to deliver the best service, contrary to other franchising competitors that loose their attention in several services. Therefore the service quality is taken very seriously.

There is never enough training for those who like to learn. AT Vivafit it is clear the concern, follow-up and coordination. After the initial training there is a continuous attendance and support to update the previous training and the knowledge acquired with updated programs.
In our first center, Vivafit Algés, the operational break-even was reached after 6 months and the investment’s return in 18 months. The return of this first center as well as the additional centers were always re-invested into opening new centers because we still believe in this concept and in its potential earnings.
Vivafit is easily distinguished from similar concepts because it was one of the first to respond to the Portuguese reality. It was also the first concept combining 30 minutes fitness and Pilates. The focus on fitness is essential to provide the best service, unlike other franchising competitors which are dispersed by several services. What kind of support and training is delivered by VIVAFIT?
What kind of support and training does Vivafit offer?
When I was first presented to this franchising concept, I was a little apprehensive. It was a new activity in Portugal, the franchisor was launching the concept in Portugal, the initial investment seemed to be high and I had already heard stories about poorly run franchise systems.
After the decision to advance and take the risk I became increasingly confident with all the organization that was behind the Vivafit’s success.
From an Investor’s point of view the management methods used can’t be better. Training plans for all staff, audits, and recommendations for improvements. There is a real interest in the good functioning of the centers.
Training covers all needs of a small business. From selling techniques, commercial management, leadership, among others the training happens regularly in order to keep all centers uniformed and updated in the several management areas.
Do you think the training is enough?
For an activity in the beginning it is “far ahead” from many Portuguese companies. It clearly shows the quality that the Franchisor wants to implement in the network. It is one of the major issues of the
Franchisor.
How long did you take to get your break-even?
It was very similar in the two centers. It took about 4 months.
It is amazing how a business can reach break-even in 4 months in a very competitive business area and where large groups bet on strong investment.
It is the proof that the “formula” found by the Franchisor is on the right path and is on the top of the best of what is done in Portugal in the management area.
What is the percentage of the return on investment?
It will be about 50%.
What do you think distinguishes Vivafit from other franchising companies with the same concept?
I can’t find anything resembling Vivafit. Even after having three centers I still watch the competition and the more I see the more I want to open more Vivafit’s.
Vivafit distinguishes itself by its dedication and commitment to keep doing even better. Updated training and adaptation to every need. Well planned and efficient marketing material and procedures.
Why do you believe in the on-going success of the Vivafit franchise concept?
I can’t find anything that can stop Vivafit. With the current structure and organization I believe there will hardly be any external variable strong enough to stop the network growth.

What kind of support and training does Vivafit offer?
Vivafit ensures a very complete initial training (before the center’s opening), offered not only to owners and managers but also to future commercials and instructors. Also, they frequently organize several trainings, about various procedures and other important subjects, fundamental to the success of our business, always directed for the job function at the center.
They are always available to answer our questions and doubts that arise daily, assign at our disposal a mentor (a person responsible for the center) and keep a daily contact through our intranet portal.
Do you think the training is enough?
I consider the training is complete, although I think internships should be longer. I wish they were made with greater consistency and effectiveness.
What do you think distinguishes Vivafit from other franchising companies with the same concept?
The energy, the involving spirit, the client service, the marketing produced, the center’s design, the honesty…
Why do you believe in the on-going success of the Vivafit franchise concept?
I strongly believe in the success of this brand and in the quick expansion of the franchising network. The product is well conceived and the results are already visible. I believe that the team behind this is very enterprising, energetic, creative and dynamic, which is certainly an advantage for Vivafit’s success.
If all franchisees fulfill their part, if they make their center an example, the success is guaranteed and the brand’s image will always be the best.
