Vivafit opens in India

The Portugal-based network of gyms, Vivafit, has just opened its first unit in India. The brand intends to open around a thousand centers in this heavily populated country. The first unit opened is located at the Gurgaon Shopping Center, 30 km from New Delhi. It is a 180 square meters gym that represents an investment of approximately 100 thousand Euros.

Pedro Ruiz, Vivafit’s General Director, stated that the brand wants to “center its expansion strategy on the BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India and China), with expectations of a high growth in the coming years”. According to Ruiz, Vivafit is also interested in expanding to the other English speaking Asian countries and Latin America. In Europe, the brand intends to strengthen its presence in Italy, Holland, Poland and Scandinavia.
