THE PORTUGUESE SMALL/MIDDLE SIZE COMPANY OPENS TODAY
ITS THIRD CENTER IN SPAIN
Oeiras, February 7th – Vivafit, the largest network of gyms in Portugal opens today a center in Lepe, close to Huelva, the third location from this Portuguese operator in Spain.
After the Madrid and Badajoz centers, both self owned units; the Lepe center is the first Vivafit franchisee in Spain, a country where the Portuguese company expects to open further operations during 2011.
Lepe’s Vivafit opened with 240 members and is managed by the franchisee Florêncio André, a business man from Andalucía from a Portuguese father and Spanish mother.
Vivafit thus progresses in its internationalization process and further projects to open new centers in India, in March, and in Singapore, in April, and also “looking at” at the possibility of entering the Brazilian market.
With a total of 114 gyms in Portugal, in 2010 alone, Vivafit inaugurated ten new centers that represent over 3.000 members that add to the company’s total of 40.000 clients.
